A Plan for Stronger Neighbourhoods and Smarter City Building
Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi is made up of strong, diverse communities filled with people who care deeply about their neighbourhoods. I’m running to represent you with a clear plan that focuses on safety, good city services, respectful use of tax dollars, and real support for families and businesses.
This platform reflects what I’ve heard from residents across the ward. It focuses on what matters most: reliable infrastructure, fair and transparent leadership, cleaner and more connected communities, and thoughtful housing solutions that work for everyone.
Together, we can build a city that runs well and reflects the pride we have in the place we call home.
Edmontonians work hard and expect value in return. As your City Councillor, I will push for clear and transparent budgeting that shows exactly where your money goes. Property tax increases should only happen when tied to measurable service improvements. I will focus on efficient spending, predictable planning, and fairness across both residential and business taxpayers.
Safety is a basic expectation for every resident. I will support stronger peace officer presence where it’s needed most, along with expanded outreach for mental health and addiction support. By improving lighting, activating underused public spaces, and building partnerships between the city and the people it serves, we can create a safer and more connected community.
Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi is a Blackfoot name meaning “the northern migration of the bison for calving season.” It honors the Blackfoot Nations and their connection to this land through movement, community, and purpose.
To me, this name is a reminder that where we live carries deep meaning. As I look ahead, I carry these values forward by working to build a city grounded in respect, shared progress, and a strong sense of belonging.
