A Voice for Real Change in Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi

A Plan for Stronger Neighbourhoods and Smarter City Building
Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi is made up of strong, diverse communities filled with people who care deeply about their neighbourhoods. I’m running to represent you with a clear plan that focuses on safety, good city services, respectful use of tax dollars, and real support for families and businesses.

This platform reflects what I’ve heard from residents across the ward. It focuses on what matters most: reliable infrastructure, fair and transparent leadership, cleaner and more connected communities, and thoughtful housing solutions that work for everyone.
Together, we can build a city that runs well and reflects the pride we have in the place we call home.

Why I’m Running

I’ve lived in Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi since 1983. I’ve raised my family here, run businesses here, and served the people of Edmonton as a tribunal member with the City’s Assessment Review Board. I’ve spent decades listening to residents, and what I hear is always the same: people are tired of rising taxes, broken services, and being ignored by City Hall.

I’ve helped support school lunch programs because no child in our city should go hungry. I’ve worked in real estate long enough to see how challenging it has become for families to afford safe, stable housing, whether they’re renting or trying to buy their first home.
This isn’t about politics for me. It’s about stepping up and doing what’s right for the communities we love. I believe in common sense, clear priorities, and leadership that puts people first. I’m running because I know Edmonton can do better — and together, we will.

Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi: The Meaning Behind the Name

How to say it: E-pee-ko-ka-nee piu-tsi-ya

Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi is a Blackfoot name meaning “the northern migration of the bison for calving season.” It honors the Blackfoot Nations and their connection to this land through movement, community, and purpose.

To me, this name is a reminder that where we live carries deep meaning. As I look ahead, I carry these values forward by working to build a city grounded in respect, shared progress, and a strong sense of belonging.
