A Plan for Stronger Neighbourhoods and Smarter City Building

Respect for

Property Taxes

I served on the City of Edmonton Assessment Review Board as a Tribunal Hearing Member, where I heard firsthand the frustrations of taxpayers across our city such as rising taxes, confusing assessments, and a lack of clear answers.

People want to know where their money is going. Instead, we see news reports of overdue, over-budget projects that waste public funds and drive taxes even higher.

Property tax increases should only happen when tied to real, measurable improvements, not mismanagement.
As your councillor, I will fight for:

  • Clear, transparent budgeting
  • Smarter, more efficient spending
  • Predictable, fair tax planning for homeowners and businesses
Taxpayers deserve respect and real value for their money.

Crime and Safer

Communities

Safety is a basic expectation for every resident. I will support stronger peace officer presence where it’s needed most, along with expanded outreach for mental health and addiction support. By improving lighting, activating underused public spaces, and building partnerships between the city and the people it serves, we can create a safer and more connected community.

Better Infrastructure and

City Services

In Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi, we need reliable streets, safe sidewalks, and timely city services. I will advocate for repair schedules that are consistent and completed without unnecessary delays. Our ward deserves snow removal, street sweeping, and maintenance that match the pace and standards of the rest of the city. When public infrastructure is cared for, our neighborhoods thrive.

Smarter

Traffic Flow

Whether you’re commuting, dropping off kids, or running errands, traffic should be manageable.

I also support safer intersections, better left-turn access, and improved pedestrian and cyclist crossings, especially near schools and high-use areas.

Clean and Livable

Neighbourhoods

Pride in our surroundings starts with clean, well-kept communities. I will advocate for better garbage collection, stronger responses to illegal dumping, and the revitalization of neglected green spaces. I believe that when our public areas are clean, our sense of connection and community responsibility grows even stronger.

Housing with

Real Solutions

Edmonton needs practical housing strategies that work for everyone. I will support transitional housing options that come with the right supports, create incentives for landlords to maintain safe and affordable rentals, and streamline approval processes for secondary suites and infill housing. A strong city includes homes people can afford and feel proud to live in.

Open and Accountable

Leadership

As an independent candidate, I am committed to staying focused on the needs of this ward, not on party interests or political games. I will host regular town halls, publish updates about council decisions, and remain accessible to every resident. Accountability means being available, being transparent, and being ready to listen at all times.
